Manchester City are eagerly awaiting news on Erling Haaland's condition after the striker was substituted during Norway's 2-1 win over Portugal in the UEFA Nations League on Sunday. With Norway taking the lead through Kristoffer Ajer in the 36th minute, Joao Cancelo equalized for the visitors two minutes later. Goncalo Ramos sealed the win for Portugal in the 79th minute.
Haaland was substituted in the 65th minute after limping off the pitch and gesturing towards the Norway bench, signaling his discomfort. Despite continuing for a few more minutes, he was eventually replaced by Jorgen Strand Larsen in the 67th minute. Norwegians were quick to suggest a possible muscular issue, but the full extent of Haaland's injury remains undetermined.
The Manchester City forward, who has scored five goals in five Premier League appearances this season and two in the Champions League, is expected to undergo further medical assessments. Several critical fixtures are looming on the horizon for City, including a match against Liverpool at Anfield on October 11 and a Champions League game against Paris Saint-Germain on October 14. The outcome of Haaland's medical evaluation will be crucial in determining his availability for these high-profile matches.
