GoldBod Jewellery opens new showroom in Takoradi to promote gold value addition

GoldBod Jewellery, collaborating with B-Light Jewellery, has inaugurated a new showroom at the Takoradi Mall in Ghana’s Western Region. This move is part of the company's commitment to enhance the accessibility of locally crafted gold jewellery and foster value addition within Ghana’s gold industry. The opening occurred on October 2nd, 2022, as the latest step in GoldBod Jewellery's strategy to retain more value from the country’s gold resources through jewellery production, job creation, and improved access to locally made ornaments.

Gertrude Emefa Donkor, the Managing Director of GoldBod Jewellery, emphasized that the new showroom represents more than just a retail location. She referred to it as an avenue for economic empowerment and job creation, stating that the venture aims to contribute significantly to the Ghanaian economy. Donkor highlighted that the company is investing in modern machinery, equipment, infrastructure, and staff training to transform Ghana’s jewellery production landscape.

Moreover, the company is constructing an ultramodern facility to boost production capacity, meet the growing domestic demand, and position Ghanaian jewellery products competitively in the international market.

In addition to these developments, GoldBod Jewellery is open to collaborations with corporate bodies to make its jewellery products more accessible to Ghanaians. Several corporations have shown interest in purchasing GoldBod Jewellery products for their employees after the company issued a call for such partnerships.
