Italy secured a convincing victory over Türkiye in their UEFA Nations League group stage match at Renato Dall’Ara Stadium, with Roberto Mancini making significant changes to the starting lineup. Only Donnarumma and Bastoni from the previous lineup remained, resulting in a noticeable drop in fluidity. However, Scamacca's powerful strike, despite appearing less polished in possession, proved crucial.
Pio Esposito scored Italy's third goal, showcasing his capabilities. Doumbia stood out, growing into the match and contributing to Scamacca's goal. The midfielder looked set for a bright future, having come close to scoring twice in his first Italy start. Vergara also impressed, outshining Maldini, hinting at his immense potential.
Mancini expressed confidence in the youngsters, emphasizing that Romano and Vergara require further development through an additional 10 to 15 games at this level.
