Fleuret AI raises €4M to advance AI-powered offensive cybersecurity in Europe

French cybersecurity firm Fleuret AI has secured €4 million in pre-seed funding to enhance its AI-powered penetration testing platform. The investment round was spearheaded by RAISE Ventures, with contributions from Auriga Cyber Ventures, Wind, Better Angle, and cybersecurity-focused business angels. Founded by CEO Yanis Grigy and CTO Augustin Ponsin, Fleuret AI aims to transform penetration testing from a static audit into an ongoing security process.

The platform's architecture centers around five key areas: mapping exposed systems, identifying vulnerabilities, demonstrating exploitability, facilitating remediation, and validating the resolution of identified issues. As companies continuously update their systems, traditional one-off penetration tests fall short, as the attack surface can change shortly after assessments.

To bridge this gap, Fleuret AI employs two AI agents, Emile and Champollion, to automate parts of the penetration tester's workflow. These agents map a company's environment, explore applications, APIs, and infrastructure, and attempt to exploit identified vulnerabilities. Each vulnerability is accompanied by proof of compromise to validate its exploitable nature. The platform continuously monitors the attack surface and initiates additional tests as a company's systems evolve.

In addition to automation, Fleuret AI is developing remediation tools, such as prioritizing vulnerabilities based on exploitability, integrating with existing technical tools, automatically re-testing systems, and generating reports confirming the resolution of vulnerabilities. CEO Grigy emphasized that the company seeks to build the offensive cybersecurity layer that enables companies of all sizes to maintain security throughout the year.

The €4 million round will be used to expand Fleuret AI's team with AI, software development, and offensive cybersecurity specialists. The platform will be developed on European infrastructure to address sovereignty concerns, particularly for highly regulated sectors. Fleuret AI aims to target the European market, making offensive cybersecurity accessible to companies that may lack the resources for regular penetration testing.

Why your AI coding agent forgets team decisions (and what to store instead) Teams running Cursor and Claude Code side by side hit the same wall. CLAUDE.md works for one seat.

  • AI coding agents forget team decisions when used together.
  • Shared memory stores are often missing or divergent.
  • Persist key information like decisions, reasons, scope, and provenance in structured formats.
