Federation of GCC chambers discusses ways to accelerate economic integration

The Federation of GCC Chambers held its 69th Board meeting in Bahrain, focusing on enhancing economic and trade cooperation among Gulf Cooperation Council states. The meeting, chaired by Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, discussed strengthening private sector involvement in intra-GCC trade and investment. Sheikh Khalifa emphasized the need for greater regional cooperation amidst geopolitical instability and disruptions to international trade.

The discussions also reviewed the Federation's activities and future work programmes, including a report on decisions from the 68th Board of Directors meeting. Qatar Chamber's delegation participated in the meeting, with plans for a 15th consultative meeting in Manama to further strengthen coordination between GCC governments and private sector leaders.
