Conte: One Tottenham thing ‘drove me mad’, Chelsea ‘underdogs’ in 2017 title win

Antonio Conte, the tactician who led Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur to domestic titles, has opened up about his time in England. In an interview with The Athletic, Conte reflected on his tenure at both clubs, revealing that winning the 2016-17 Premier League title with Chelsea was a "massive underdog" story. He explained that Chelsea hadn't made any big signings and that the club asked him multiple times if he was sure about signing N'Golo Kante, who was not the typical Chelsea player.

The Italian tactician also expressed his irritation at being labeled as a "loser" by people around him, as Tottenham was often mocked for never winning anything during his time at the club. Conte concluded by hinting that he might be open to taking on a new role if it's the right opportunity.
