Casio has introduced the Mudman GDG-B100 series of G-Shock watches, available in three color options. These rugged timepieces are designed for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts, featuring a carbon fibre-reinforced resin case and a Carbon Core Guard structure. The Mudman GDG-B100 is water-resistant up to 200 meters, dust sealed, and offers mud resistance.
It does not include Casio’s Tough Solar charging technology or rechargeable batteries, instead utilizing conventional CR2032 batteries that can last for two years. This is the first Mudman model to incorporate the Memory-in-Pixel (MIP) display, an LCD screen that remains readable in bright sunlight while consuming minimal power.
A distinctive feature is its red LED backlight, which aids in maintaining night vision. The watch offers smartphone connectivity for limited smartwatch features, along with various fitness tracking capabilities powered by an accelerometer. Users can record up to 100 runs, with up to 140 laps per run, tracking distance, speed, and pace.
The Mudman GDG-B100 series comprises the black B100-1, green 1A3, and sand 1A5 models, currently not listed on Casio Malaysia’s website.
