Arc Raiders and The Finals Are Getting Adapted Into Films and TV Shows
Hollywood is mining Arc Raiders and The Finals for its next big video game adaptations, as the two franchises will be turned into films and TV shows.
Hollywood is casting its net wide for video game adaptations, with Arc Raiders and The Finals set to be transformed into films and TV shows. According to Variety, Nexon, the parent company of Embark Studios, has partnered with Chernin Entertainment to explore the possibilities of turning these games into major franchises. Chernin Entertainment's president, David Ready, expressed excitement about the opportunity to adapt ambitious global IPs with rich storytelling potential.
"Nexon and Embark have created visually stunning, atmospheric worlds that contain countless stories to tell," Ready stated. With Arc Raiders reaching its peak as a game in 2025, it has since seen a decline due to the absence of regular, impactful updates. However, Embark Studios plans to introduce a PvE mode, allowing players to experience a more cooperative gameplay without the threat of enemy players.
Although no release dates have been announced, these adaptations are expected to be several years away from hitting the big screen or small screen.
