Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma has revealed that governors from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will begin their 2027 campaigns right away, following President Bola Tinubu's return from vacation. Uzodinma, who serves as chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF) and secretary of the Presidential Campaign Council, made this announcement in Lagos after meeting with Tinubu at his residence.
At the meeting, Uzodinma briefed the president on the country's developments during his absence and the activities of APC governors. The PGF chairman emphasized that the governors would commence their campaigns immediately, as they have taken inspiration from Tinubu's Independence Day broadcast. The reform policies have shifted from implementation to ensuring that Nigerians directly experience the benefits of the reforms.
APC governors will be responsible for demonstrating the impact of the reforms at the grassroots level, ensuring that the masses feel the improvements in their daily lives.
