Yamal on his way to becoming football legend — Spain coach

Spain coach Luis de la Fuente has expressed great confidence in the young talent of Lamine Yamal, predicting that the Barcelona forward is on track to become a football legend. In a statement shared on X by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, la Fuente praised Yamal’s "remarkable rise" and emphasized his high regard for the teenage player.

The Spain coach went further, suggesting that if Yamal were the sole Spanish contender for the prestigious Ballon d’Or award, he would consider him the country's top candidate. "If he was the only Spanish player in the run for Ballon d’Or, I’d say he’s the absolute best," De la Fuente stated. However, he affirmed that Spain boasts several other players who deserve recognition and that he wishes to honor them equally.

Despite the praise for Yamal, la Fuente maintained that Spain has many deserving players and emphasized his commitment to respecting all of them. Yamal has quickly emerged as one of the most thrilling young talents in world football, with his performances for both Barcelona and Spain consistently garnering acclaim. De la Fuente’s latest remarks further illustrate Spain’s unwavering faith in Yamal’s potential to become one of the defining players of his generation.
