[Video]‘I have asked God to take me when it is time’ – Pete Edochie on health struggles

Veteran Nigerian actor Pete Edochie has expressed his wish to leave this world when it's his time, rather than putting his family through hardship. While visiting ailing colleague Emmanuel in Accra, Ghana on Wednesday, Pete shared his ongoing health issues to console his friend. The well-known actor revealed that walking has become a significant challenge for him.

He also pointed out that he often wakes up with swollen parts of his body, though these swellings eventually subside. Despite his current health struggles, Pete remains hopeful about his recovery. "I just keep asking God, you are the offer of life. Whenever you feel it's time for me to go, just take me. Don’t let me bother the people who are around me. No, just take me," Pete stated, emphasizing his desire not to be a burden to those close to him.
