UP Home Guard Result 2026 Declared For 41,424 Posts, Over 25.32 Lakh Candidates Had Applied

Lucknow, October 3: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has announced the final selection result for 41,424 Uttar Pradesh Home Guard posts. In response to the increasing need for Home Guard protection across the state, the Board had issued an advertisement on November 18, 2025, inviting online applications from eager candidates.

The application process was open for nearly six months, attracting over 25.32 lakh applications from enthusiastic individuals seeking to join the state's Home Guard force.

After passing through various stages, including written examination, document verification, physical standard test, and physical efficiency test, the Board successfully finalized the merit list of selected candidates. The written examination was conducted in 74 districts of Uttar Pradesh on April 25, 26, and 27, 2026, in a total of six shifts. The marks obtained by candidates were normalized as per the rules, and preferential marks were added for candidates who submitted documents at the time of application.

From June 28, 2026, to August 7, 2026, a total of 1,07,221 candidates were called for document verification and physical standard test, which was more than 2.6 times the number of advertised posts. Those who passed this phase were eligible to appear in the physical efficiency test, which took place from September 15 to 26, 2026. Finally, the candidates who qualified in the physical efficiency test were included in the final selection process.

The Board prepared the district-wise merit list, taking into account the state's reservation rules. In case of a tie in marks, the older candidate and, if necessary, English alphabetical order of the name recorded in the High School certificate were used as criteria. With 41,424 vacant posts across 75 districts, the Board has successfully selected 41,424 candidates for the Home Guard force, ensuring the state's safety and security is well-protected.
