UFC 332 live blog: Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Payton Talbott

Deiveson Figueiredo and Payton Talbott are set to face off in the bantamweight co-main event at UFC 332, taking place at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City on Saturday. Figueiredo, a two-time UFC flyweight champion, currently sits at No. 11 in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings at 135 pounds, while Talbott is making his mark by debuting a win in the UFC charts.

This highly anticipated bout holds significant importance for the 38-year-old Figueiredo, who has lost two consecutive fights and four out of his past five. After a triumphant start with three wins as a UFC bantamweight, Figueiredo suffered losses to top contenders Petr Yan and Cory Sandhagen, but rebounded with a decision win against Montel Jackson.

However, recent defeats, including a decision loss to Umar Nurmagomedov due to missing weight and a submission loss to Song Yadong, have raised questions about his championship fire. Talbott, a highly touted prospect, has demonstrated his potential with five wins in his first six UFC fights. Following a disappointing loss to Raoni Barcelos, he has since secured impressive decision victories over Felipe Lima and the former two-division champion Henry Cejudo.
