Portable Bluetooth CD player has a glow-in-the-dark transparent green finish, modern features
Sincere Inc. has released its Pixel Tunes portable Bluetooth CD player in an alluring new ‘After Hours’ finish.
Sincere Inc. has launched a limited edition portable Bluetooth CD player called Pixel Tunes in a new 'After Hours' finish. This edition is one of four translucent colors available, but it is the only one that emits a glow in the dark because of the use of phosphorescent materials. The Pixel Tunes is priced at 12,980 yen ($83), and is available for purchase from Amazon Japan.
The player features a retro-futuristic design and modern functionality including a USB Type-C rechargeable Li-ion battery, Bluetooth 5.3, and a volume wheel with click power on/off. The 'standard' translucent colors available are Warm Gray, Ray of Light, and 1983, but the After Hours color is the only one that glows softly with a green light in daylight.
The Pixel Tunes is designed to express the culture of individuals who transition from bright everyday life to the "private world of the night." However, it is unclear whether the Pixel Tunes can play CD-R or CD-RW home-burned discs, or if it is compatible with discs containing MP3 files or USB audio playback.
