KPDN tidak temui tanda kehadiran air dalam tangki RON95 di Batu Kawan

The Public Corporate Development and Living Costs (KPDN) organization in Penang state has found no evidence of water contamination in the RON95 storage tank at a Batu Kawan fuel station, despite claims made on social media. S Jegan, the director of the investigation, stated that the inspection and research were conducted with representatives from a fuel company and the relevant station owner on the same day.

The purpose of the further examination and research was to identify the cause of the problem, which could include the presence of water or contamination in the storage tank and the fuel delivery system.

A comprehensive review of the Automatic Tank Gauge (ATG) records for the RON95 tank, including readings during the inspection and records from the past three days, found no readings indicating the presence of water throughout the checked period. Physical inspection of the tank area and the tank top was also carried out, and no accumulation of water was found apart from normal condensation.

Manual inspection through the dipping process using Water Finding Paste (WFP) on the measuring rods before inserting them into the tank to detect the presence of water also yielded no change in color, indicating no water contamination.

A visual examination of the fuel delivered from all outlets and outlets also revealed clear fuel without any visible contamination, according to Jegan. KPDN Penang, along with the fuel company representative and the station owner, will continue to work together on follow-up actions to ensure that the issue is handled comprehensively, and the safety and well-being of users are always prioritized.

Previously, several social media claims emerged as users reported problems with their vehicles, including failure to start after refueling at the Batu Kawan station, as well as allegations of fuel mixed with water.
