Three weeks ago, I had no online products. Today, eight guides are available for sale on my store, with a new release planned every Monday. The most intriguing aspect is not the content, but the pipeline. The principle is simple: one factory, not a stroke of genius. Each book follows the same path: a topic is chosen from a list (productivity, AI, freelancing, organization...); the content is written in markdown; a Python script converts the markdown into EPUB compatible with Amazon KDP; the same content becomes a clean PDF for direct sales; the store's API creates the product, uploads the file, and puts it on sale.

The key part: steps 3 to 5 run on their own. The script that manufactures the books converts markdown to EPUB, using a template, an automatically generated table of contents, and metadata (title, author, cover). There's nothing magical about it – an EPUB is a ZIP file with structured files inside. To add a new book, simply write the content and add an entry to the list of guides.

The script takes care of the rest. Why two formats? The EPUB goes to Amazon KDP (e-readers), while the PDF goes to direct sales (computer readers). The same content, two channels, zero additional costs. A scheduled task runs every Monday morning, selecting the next topic, generating the guide, and putting it on sale. I wake up with a new product online.

The main lesson is that consistency beats genius. A useful little guide every week is better than a masterpiece once a year. The important thing is that everything is free: the conversion tools are open source, the store takes only a commission on sales, and file hosting is included. If you have a skill you can explain in words, you can build the same system over the weekend.

I document my home automation on Dev du Sud. If you want to see the result of the pipeline, it's right there.
