Hasrat ‘YB Hulk’ kembali ke Pengkalan Batu mungkin tidak kesampaian

Pengkalan Batu lawmaker Norhizam Hassan Baktee, known as "YB Hulk," may not be serious about contesting the seat again if the Bersatu list does not include it, according to Bersatu Melaka spokesman Hishamuddin Abdul Karim. Hishamuddin stated that the party has not yet made a final decision on the candidate and constituency for the upcoming election.

Norhizam had expressed his desire to contest the PRN Melaka election and continue serving the Pengkalan Batu constituency, claiming that the local people needed his assistance. He had previously served as deputy chairman of DAP Melaka and held various positions within the party, including exco roles for agriculture, entrepreneur development, and basic agriculture.

Norhizam assumed the leadership of DUN Pengkalan Batu during PRU14 before passing away during the PRN Melaka election five years ago. He had contested the seat as an independent after being expelled from DAP. When asked about his own candidacy for PRN this time, Hishamuddin deferred the decision to the party leadership, stating that if Bersatu decides to contest in Telok Mas, they will propose a suitable candidate to the party.

Hishamuddin emphasized the importance of party survival and victory over personal ambitions, urging aspiring candidates to prioritize the party's interests.
