Donald Trump Announces Creation of ‘Super Intelligence Task Force’ Aimed At Keeping US Ahead In AI Race

United States President Donald Trump announced on Sunday the establishment of a "Super Intelligence Force" (SIF) aimed at maintaining America's leadership in artificial intelligence (AI). The task force, to be led by Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton, Federal Trade Commission Chairman Andrew Ferguson, Pentagon Chief Technology Officer Emil Michael, and Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Kupor, will coordinate the federal government's engagement with various stakeholders, including consumers, public interest groups, religious organizations, infrastructure providers, and AI companies.

Trump emphasized the task force's role in ensuring America remains at the forefront of "Super Intelligence," a development he considers more significant than past technological revolutions such as the Industrial Revolution and the Internet.

The announcement follows a recent meeting where leading AI executives signed a pledge for improved self-regulation of AI models. This move comes while Trump hosts a White House event with top AI figures. Additionally, Trump signed an executive order replacing the terms "Artificial Intelligence" and "AI" with "Super Intelligence" and "SI" in all federal operations.
