Defensive stand propels Honeoye Falls-Lima past Batavia

Honeoye Falls-Lima's HFL defensive effort secured a 7-6 victory over Batavia in a defensive battle on Saturday. Sam Oliver scored the only touchdown for the Cougars, a 10-yard run in the third quarter that countered Batavia's Keagan Calmes' earlier touchdown. Despite Batavia having possession deep in HFL territory in the final minutes, they couldn't capitalize on the opportunity.

The Cougars, who are currently 3-2, return to the win column following a tough loss to top-ranked Monroe last week. The match took place without two of HFL's top offensive players, Grady Goodberlet and Brian Finn.
