Super Eagles striker Akor Adams expressed confidence that Nigeria will bounce back from their disappointing 3-0 loss to Guinea-Bissau in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign. The result occurred at the September 24 Stadium in Bissau during the team's Matchday 2 fixture. Following the opening qualifier, where Nigeria narrowly defeated Madagascar's Barea 2-1, Adams acknowledged the players' responsibility for the poor performance.
"It's not a game we should lose," Adams stated, emphasizing that they prepared well for the crucial match. "We have taken responsibility for it. In the game of football, we were on the bad side on that day as a group and as a team." Looking ahead, Nigeria will face Tanzania in two matches when the qualifiers resume in November.
