Adrian Meronk of LIV Golf rallies to win Dunhill Links and secure European tour membership
ST. ANDREWS, Scotland (AP) — Polish golfer Adrian Meronk secured a remarkable victory at the Dunhill Links Championship on Sunday, winning the full European tour membership he had desperately needed. With a 4-under 68, Meronk, 33, overcame a two-shot deficit against South African competitor Casey Jarvis to claim the championship.
The win at the Old Course in St. Andrews marked Meronk's fifth title on the European tour, making it a pivotal moment in his career. The victory was crucial for Meronk, who joined LIV Golf the following year after being left off the Ryder Cup team in Rome. With his European tour membership secured, Meronk now has a full card for 2027, despite ongoing uncertainties surrounding LIV Golf's financial situation.
