About me !

Hey everyone! 👋 I’m Adarsh, a CSE student from India. I’m currently focused on backend development, Python, DSA, and open source. I’m starting to explore open source and looking forward to making my first meaningful contributions. I joined DEV.to to document my learning journey, connect with other developers, and hopefully learn from the amazing community here. Looking forward to building,…

Hello! My name is Bhumika, and I'm currently pursuing a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Engineering. I'm passionate about learning by creating, experimenting with technology, and embracing challenges that stretch my limits.

In my tech journey, I've dived into various aspects of technology, including Python and Java programming, C language, data structures, algorithms, artificial intelligence and machine learning, web development, cloud technologies, databases, backend development, UI/UX design, and Figma. I thrive on turning ideas into functional, practical applications rather than just learning technology through theory.

One key lesson I've learned is that working on projects provides a different kind of education compared to textbooks. I've tackled projects related to AI, finance, travel, emergency response, and local experiences. These projects have helped me grasp the full process, from identifying problems and designing system architecture to creating interfaces and presenting solutions.

I've also taken part in hackathons, where I've discovered that constructing a project isn't solely about writing code; it's also about collaboration, effective communication, rapid problem-solving, and adapting when faced with unexpected challenges.

As I'm still in the early stages of my journey, I don't have all the answers, which is what makes it so exciting. I'm committed to the following mantra: Learn → Build → Break → Fix → Improve → Repeat. Through DEV, I aim to document parts of this journey—whether it's understanding a programming concept, showcasing a project I've built, sharing a hackathon experience, or highlighting a project that didn't work the first time around.

Beyond coding, I have a keen interest in art, sketching, calligraphy, and creative design. I believe in merging creativity with technology, especially when working on interfaces, presentations, and visual concepts. To me, engineering isn't just about creating functional solutions; it's also about making them understandable, useful, and enjoyable to use.

Currently, my objective is straightforward: to become an even better engineer, one project at a time. I aim to continually enhance my technical skills, contribute to meaningful projects, participate in more hackathons, and ultimately build products that address real-world problems. If you're also a student or beginner in technology, I'd love to learn alongside you.

Your tsconfig Is Still Written for TypeScript 5. Here's the Cleanup TS 7 Forces

Most tsconfig.json files are archaeology. Somebody copied one from a starter repo in 2021, somebody else added baseUrl so the @/ imports would work, and a third person set moduleResolution: "node"…

  • TypeScript 7.0 removed deprecated options like types and rootDir.
  • tsconfig.json now defaults to empty types array, preventing automatic loading of nodemodules/@types.
  • rootDir defaults to directory containing tsconfig.json, causing output directory issues.

✨ Meet Swingly — a tiny character that lives on your webpage and swings gently.

I built Swingly, a tiny, playful npm package that brings a little personality to the corner of your website. 🧿 Maybe it’s your evil-eye protector. 🪄 Maybe it’s a tiny charm. 👾 Maybe it’s a weird little creature you imagined. 🐱 Or maybe it’s simply a character that makes your website feel a little more alive.

  • Swingly is a tiny npm package adding personality to websites.
  • Offers various characters like evil-eye, charm, or whimsical creatures.
  • Open to community contributions for unique characters and interactions.
