Zach Bryan Wears “Free Palestine” Shirt At Robert Kraft’s Gillette Stadium

Zach Bryan wore a "Free Palestine" shirt during his performance at Gillette Stadium on October 2. The stadium is owned by Robert Kraft, who had previously banned rapper Macklemore from performing at his venues after Macklemore made pro-Palestinian statements onstage. According to Billboard, members of Bryan's band also wore matching shirts.

Macklemore was removed from Ed Sheeran's tour after making statements in support of Palestinians during his performances, including declaring "Free Palestine" to the crowd and performing his protest song "Hind's Hall." The Israeli-American Council launched a petition calling for his removal, and multiple NFL stadium owners reportedly threatened to pull shows if he stayed. Sheeran faced backlash for his refusal to take a stance on the issue.

Bryan did not address the shirt from the stage, but the choice of wardrobe and venue was seen as a pointed statement. Robert Kraft had played a central role in removing Macklemore from the remaining U.S. dates of Ed Sheeran's tour.
