The National Service Training Programme (PLKN) 3.0 has seen a surge in volunteerism, with 10 individuals showing up at the 513th Regiment (Territorial Army) National Service Training Camp (CLKN) in Kepala Batas without prior confirmation. Colonel Abdul Rani Abdul Majid, director of the Policy and Development Division at JLKN, stated that this indicates a strong interest in joining the programme.
The training curriculum consists of 70% military modules and 30% nation-building modules, and participants will earn merit points from five appointing authorities, giving them an advantage in future service applications. JLKN director-general, Major General Datuk Marzuki Mokhtar, reported that parental satisfaction with the programme is high, with all six key elements scoring above 90% in evaluations.
The success of the programme is evident in the 2,009 trainees who confirmed their attendance for Series 4/2026, surpassing the target of 1,203 trainees.
