‘We’ve complied with all the rules’ – NPP assures transparency in national elections

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has assured the public of its commitment to transparency and adherence to electoral rules before the upcoming national officers' elections in Kumasi. Director of Elections for the NPP, Evans Nimako, stated that the election organizers have followed the required rules and standards, ensuring that all aspirants have access to the necessary delegate registers.

Speaking prior to the party's National Delegates Conference at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on October 3, Nimako confirmed that every aspirant has been provided with both provisional and final delegates' registers. He emphasized that the party has complied with all rules to ensure transparency in the electoral process. Additionally, he mentioned that the accreditation of delegates was completed ahead of the exercise, with all aspirants given both provisional and final registers.

Nimako explained that these measures are part of the NPP's efforts to ensure that the internal elections are conducted according to the party's rules and applicable electoral guidelines. The National Officers Elections Committee, which will oversee the election, is expected to conduct it under the supervision of the party. Concerns raised by aspirants regarding the delegates' register were addressed during the validation process, where the committee cross-checked disputed names and details against source records submitted by various regions and institutions.

The elections are set to take place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, with a large number of accredited delegates anticipated to participate.
