Ujjwal Nikam, a special public prosecutor and now a Rajya Sabha member, spoke to The Free Press Journal about the movie Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam, in which RajKummar Rao plays his role. Nikam praised Rao's performance, stating that the actor has acted "fabulously" and lived his character. He revealed that Rao prepared for the role by watching videos of his court appearances and public interactions.
Nikam also commended the direction by Avinash Arun as "brilliant." The film, produced by Maddock Films with Dinesh Vijan, does not focus on Nikam's life but rather on the trial process, courtroom drama, and India's commitment to constitutional principles in the case of Ajmal Kasab.
