According to local news Ruhr Nachrichten, Luca Reggiani is seen as the most probable candidate for Dortmund to release this winter. The Italian international has not been utilized effectively by Niko Kovač during the current season in Borussia Dortmund's defense. With only brief appearances in the DFB-Pokal and a single game in the Bundesliga, the young player feels he deserves more after last year's campaign.
Consequently, Dortmund may consider letting him go, as they are also searching for new signings. Marcel Regula from Zagłębie Lubin was already a target in the summer and is back at the top of Borussia Dortmund's winter transfer targets. Interest from Reggiani has been high, as Southampton had made a concrete offer just before the summer transfer deadline.
Other Italian clubs, such as AC Milan, were also interested in the 18-year-old talent, but a transfer did not come to fruition.
