Ewu Monarch Mourns Chris Oyakhilome’s Mother, Celebrates Legacy

In Benin City, the Onojie of Ewu, Jafaru Isesele I, has mourned the passing of Deaconess Angel Aimiugwina Oyakhilome, the mother of Chris Oyakhilome, founder of Christ Embassy. The traditional ruler conveyed his condolences to Pastor Oyakhilome, the Oyakhilome family of Idunwele, Ewu, the Ojeme family of Eko-Ojeme, Ewu, and the global Christ Embassy family.

The Onojie described Deaconess Angel as a woman possessing faith, humility, kindness, and virtue, whose life left an enduring legacy. He noted her role as a devoted Christian, mother, and matriarch, whose influence extended far beyond her immediate family. The Onojie expressed the Ewu community's deep sorrow, acknowledging the emptiness left by her passing and celebrating her remarkable life.

He highlighted her embodiment of her lineage's nobility, her humility, kindness, and unwavering faith. The Onojie emphasized that her life served as a sermon, not just through her words but through her actions, showcasing that true greatness often walks quietly and serves faithfully. As a loving wife and mother, she held a special place within a family whose influence transcends borders.

The Onojie emphasized her fundamental identity as a devout Christian whose life mirrored the virtues she espoused. He poetically reminded the readers that a mother's influence, though unseen, continues to nourish the lives of those she touched, like a lamp kept burning through the night. The Onojie concluded by invoking a scripture urging the bereaved to find strength and comfort in the memory of Deaconess Angel, whose legacy will continue to inspire.
