‘Disgusting, shameless’: Jr NTR slams Chuttamalle deepfake of Janhvi Kapoor, vows legal action

Actor Jr NTR has strongly condemned a recent AI-generated deepfake video that depicts his co-star Janhvi Kapoor in a sexually explicit and degrading manner. NTR, speaking on social media platform X, denounced the video as "disgusting, sick, and shameless." He highlighted the contradiction between Indian society's values, which often revere women as mothers and goddesses, and the exploitation of such technology to disrespect women.

NTR vowed to pursue legal action against those responsible for creating and disseminating the video, warning, "I will take every possible legal action against those who created it and those who are spreading it." He also called upon the public not to engage with the content, urging them to prevent similar incidents from occurring to others such as mothers, sisters, wives, or daughters.

NTR further urged both state governments and the Central government to take strong action against the misuse of artificial intelligence. The deepfake video in question is derived from the "Chuttamalle" song from Jr NTR's 2024 Telugu film, Devara: Part 1. The film, directed by Koratala Siva and starring Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, features the romantic track "Chuttamalle" composed by Anirudh Ravichander and penned by Ramajogayya Sastry.

The song's music video, depicting an intimate dance sequence between NTR and Kapoor, garnered significant attention in 2024.
