Boy found strangled inside makeshift hut in Naseerabad

On Thursday night, a 10-year-old boy named Khurram Ali was discovered strangled inside a makeshift hut in the New Chakra area of Naseerabad police station, according to the local police. The boy's father, Mohammad Bilal, a 34-year-old resident of New Chakra, had lodged a First Information Report (FIR) with the police. According to Bilal, he sold flower bouquets and resided in a makeshift tent on his own land. He had four children, including two daughters, and his eldest son, Khurram, was approximately 10 years old.

On Thursday afternoon, Bilal left his house with his wife and daughters to earn a livelihood in Saddar Bazaar, leaving Khurram at the hut. He received an urgent call around 7pm, instructing him to return home immediately. Upon his arrival at around 8pm, he found his eldest son lying lifeless on a bed inside the makeshift hut. In the FIR, Bilal stated that his brothers-in-law informed him that they had noticed a suspect leaving his hut when they were passing close to it.

The suspect allegedly fled upon seeing them. They then entered the hut and discovered Khurram hanging by a piece of cloth tied to a piece of wood. According to the FIR, his brothers-in-law untied him and laid him on a charpai.

Bilal mentioned in the FIR that the motive behind the murder was to prevent the suspect from passing through his plot. The body was subsequently handed over to the family following the postmortem, police revealed. It was also reported that the accused had been apprehended, and an investigation was underway.
