Zinedine Zidane’s flawless start as France manager came to an end on Friday, as Les Bleus drew 1-1 with Italy in a UEFA Nations League match at the Stade de France. Michael Olise gave France the lead shortly after halftime with a remarkable free-kick, but Alessandro Bastoni equalised for Italy before the break. France finished the match with 10 men after Dayot Upamecano received a second yellow card. The result left Zidane without a home win as France manager.
