YTL AI Labs has recently unveiled ILMUCode, an advanced AI coding platform. The innovative system provides coders and developers with access to frontier-level coding capabilities at a fraction of the usual cost. By combining Agentic AI with their own language model, ILMU-GLM-5.3, ILMUCode allows users to navigate complex codebases, write, modify, troubleshoot, and create software faster than ever before.
ILMUCode has been installed at Universiti Malaya and will be rolled out to 800 first-year students from the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology in the upcoming semester. Each student will have access to RM100 in monthly credits for three months to develop and build their own coding projects using the platform.
The platform is powered by YTL AI Labs' multimodal model, which excels in Malay language processing, boasting top rankings on the MalayMMLU benchmark for Bahasa Melayu. This includes speech recognition, text-to-speech, and embedding models.
ILMUCode is part of YTL AI Labs' growing portfolio of ILMU-themed AI platforms. Last year, they launched the ILMU Claw Agentic AI Platform in collaboration with NVIDIA, a tech giant. The system utilizes the ILMU-Nemo-Nano model, believed to be based on NVIDIA's Nemotron 3 Super MoE model. In September, YTL AI Labs and NVIDIA announced the Nemotron-Personas-Malaysia dataset, a collection of 1.35 million synthetic personas designed to create AI models tailored to Malaysia's diverse population.
