Varalaxmi Sarathkumar on choosing not to have children: ‘A good parenting decision’

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, a 41-year-old actress who married businessman Nicholai Sachdev in 2024, discussed her decision to not have children. She expressed that she and her husband have reached a clear decision not to have children, and that they already have a daughter from his previous marriage. Varalaxmi also mentioned that two puppies in their household have become her source of comfort and companionship, stating that it is a personal choice.

She believes that not having children is a responsible parenting decision, as it requires a significant amount of time, emotional availability, patience, consistency, and lifestyle adjustments. She highlighted that the societal pressure to have children is a misconception, as parenting requires much more than financial provision. Delnna encouraged society to recognize that the decision to have children or not is a deeply personal one and should be made with conscious examination.
