Supabase has announced it is acquiring the database startup Turso to develop infrastructure that can scale with the growing demand for databases created by AI agents. The acquisition will allow Supabase to offer a more seamless developer experience from prototyping to production. Turso will continue operating and integrating into the Supabase ecosystem.
Both companies share a commitment to open source and developer experience, and their goals align in building infrastructure that can handle the massive scale of databases being created.
