Saudi Arabian authorities have refuted rumors of a suicide bomber targeting the Grand Mosque in Makkah. According to a statement released on X, security officials apprehended an individual for harassing passersby and causing panic, but no evidence suggests any link to a suicide attack. The statement emphasized that no truth exists to the circulating claims about the incident.
The Holy Kaaba, located within the Grand Mosque, is Islam's holiest site, and Muslim pilgrims regularly perform rituals such as Hajj and Umrah there. Built by Prophet Ibrahim and his son, Prophet Ismail, the Kaaba holds immense religious significance. Previous years have also witnessed tragic attacks, including a deadly bombing near Madina's mosque that claimed four lives as Muslims prepared for Eidul Fitr.
