Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho denies making comments about Cristiano Ronaldo and Portuguese Federation: ‘Too many fake news’

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has firmly denied any comments he may have made about Cristiano Ronaldo and the Portuguese Football Federation, stating "Too many fake news" regarding the matter. The Portuguese Football Federation recently underwent a significant change with Jorge Jesus taking over as manager, resulting in a fall-out with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Mourinho was previously offered the position but declined in favor of the Los Blancos seat in the summer. Mourinho clarified that he did not make any comments regarding either Ronaldo or the Portuguese Federation, dismissing the rumors surrounding his statements. The former Real Madrid boss, known for his outspoken nature, has been a frequent target for media attention seeking to sensationalize his words.

Despite their history together at Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013, Mourinho has emphasized that he has not made any comments on the ongoing situation in Portuguese football. The attention Mourinho receives regarding his views on Ronaldo is likely due to their shared past and his prominent status as a Portuguese coach. However, Mourinho is focused on addressing the concerns surrounding his team and overcoming the recent difficulties they have faced domestically.

This distraction serves as a reminder of how using a well-known name like Mourinho can generate attention, even if the information is not accurate. Mourinho's effort to put an end to the chatter and shift the focus back to Real Madrid is a strategic move for his team as they prepare for the international break and work towards closing the gap with Barcelona.
