The Punjab Local Government Department has initiated a birth registration drive in 100 villages across Punjab to enhance accessibility for residents. The campaign targets villages in various districts including Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Lodhran, Chiniot, Bhakkar, Multan, Muzaffargarh, Chakwal, Khushab, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Jhang, and Pakpattan.
To facilitate the registration process, authorities have set up special camps in the selected villages, offering on-site digital birth registration services. This initiative brings the registration facility closer to rural communities, making it more convenient for families in the targeted villages. The birth registration drive, as highlighted by ProPakistani, seeks to simplify the process for residents by eliminating the need to travel to distant government offices.
