The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) confirmed the incident in a statement released by its Abuja Operations Office Press Unit. Fortunately, no casualties were reported during the emergency. The agency reported that the fire was contained before it could spread, and valuable items were recovered from the damaged shops.
