iQOO 16 Confirmed To Launch In Malaysia Soon

iQOO, a subsidiary of vivo, has revealed that its latest flagship smartphone, the iQOO 16, will soon be available in Malaysia. The device was unveiled in China recently, boasting a new design, upgraded camera module, and several notable improvements. One of the most significant enhancements is the display, which is supplied by Samsung.

This 6.85-inch AMOLED panel features a resolution of 1,440 x 3,168 pixels, a 165Hz refresh rate, and local peak brightness of 10,000 nits, courtesy of Samsung's M16 emissive material and 2K LEAD 2.0 technology.

The iQOO 16 is also among the first smartphones to launch with Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon mobile platform, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. This powerful chipset is accompanied by the brand's in-house Q4 chip, supporting full-scene ray tracing, game super resolution, and frame interpolation. The phone is available with either 12GB or 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. It is powered by an 8,400mAh battery, supporting both 100W wired and 40W wireless charging. An 8,500 mm² vapor chamber aids in heat management.

Running on Android 17 with OriginOS 7, the iQOO 16 also comes with a PC emulator supporting nearly 100 titles. For imaging, the device sports a triple camera setup on the rear, including a 50MP 1/1.3-inch primary shooter, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide snapper. The front camera is a 32MP selfie shooter, housed in a punch-hole cutout. The phone features a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, symmetrical dual speakers, and IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

At present, iQOO has not disclosed the exact date of the iQOO 16's arrival in Malaysia, but the company has stated that the device is expected to make its local debut in November 2026.
