President Donald J. Trump addressed the mixed crowd at the 2026 Presidents Cup on September 27 at Medinah Country Club in Illinois. Upon arrival, brief remarks drew cheers and applause, with opposition and one interruption from spectators. Amidst cheers, USA chants, boos, and interruptions, Trump thanked the crowd and mentioned Medinah's positive response.
The appearance came before Sunday singles matches at the biennial golf event, following Air Force One's flyover and increased security. Brian Rolapp, PGA Tour CEO, introduced Trump, and Rolapp thanked the crowd before play began. The 16th Presidents Cup featured 12 US golfers and 12 International Team players, with Brandt Snedeker leading the United States and Geoff Ogilvy representing the International Team. The United States won the 2026 Presidents Cup 17-13, marking their 11th consecutive victory.
