Gulf oil infrastructure at risk as US rushes Patriot missiles to Saudi Arabia, Qatar

Saudi Arabia's air defense successfully intercepted and destroyed a Houthi ballistic missile that was aimed at Khamis Mushait, according to the Saudi Civil Defence. Fragments from the intercepted missile landed in the Khamis Mushait Governorate, resulting in minor material damage, the Civil Defence reported. There were no casualties, as stated in the Civil Defence's statement.

Authorities have advised residents to remain calm and follow official instructions when they receive warnings through the National Early Warning Platform. The advised steps include moving indoors to a safe place, away from windows and glass, staying there until the danger has passed, and avoiding balconies, rooftops, and open areas.

If outdoors, residents should enter the nearest building or shelter behind a solid barrier, avoid crowds and dangerous areas, and refrain from taking photographs. Those driving should pull over away from bridges and high-rise buildings. The Saudi-led coalition has confirmed that the Houthis fired a ballistic missile towards Riyadh, while Saudi Arabia claims a Yemeni missile failed and landed near the border. Saudi defences intercepted and destroyed four ballistic missiles in the Eastern Region.
