Cop called murderer stupid for getting caught on tape

A court has released audio from an attempted emergency call made by Luke Davies, the partner of Jesse Baird, in the moments before Beau Lamarre-Condon allegedly murdered both men in Sydney in February 2024. The Crown claims Davies made the call with the intention of eliminating a witness to his shooting of Baird. Lamarre-Condon, who has pleaded not guilty, claims he made the call after killing Baird in self-defense, but the call was cut short by a second violent struggle.

The audio was played in court on the same day that surveillance footage of Lamarre-Condon purchasing a second surfboard bag and disposing of the men's bodies was released to jurors.
