CC Sabathia picks one former team to beat another in the World Series
CC Sabathia, who delivered legendary performances for three teams still alive in the 2026 MLB playoffs, picked the Brewers to win it all.
Hall of Fame pitcher CC Sabathia has made his predictions for the upcoming Major League Baseball playoffs, and it includes an unexpected choice. In a surprising pick, Sabathia predicts that the Milwaukee Brewers will win the World Series, beating the New York Yankees. This is especially surprising given that the Yankees are considered a formidable opponent.
Even more intriguing is Sabathia's prediction that the Cleveland Guardians, the team he played for during his early career, will be eliminated by the Chicago White Sox in the American League Division Series. Sabathia traded to the Brewers in 2008 and had a remarkable performance that led the Brewers to their first postseason berth in a generation.
Given that the Brewers haven't been to the World Series since 1982, this would be a major turnaround. The Yankees are also predicted to make the World Series, but Sabathia believes the Brewers will come out on top. Sabathia's son, Carsten, was drafted by the Brewers in 2026 and has already had a promising start in Class A Wilson.
