Brisbane 2032 emblems leaked by official YouTube channel
The emblems for the Brisbane 2032 Olympics and Paralympics have been accidentally leaked by the Games' official YouTube channel, ruining its own a grand unveiling slated for Monday.
The cockatoo-inspired emblems for the Brisbane 2032 Olympics and Paralympics were accidentally leaked by the Games' official YouTube channel. Over the past week, pieces of the emblem had been gradually revealed during a Queensland tour, with the full picture expected to come together on Monday. However, the complete emblem was revealed earlier today in a preview image for an "Emblem Explainer" video that was set to go live on Monday morning.
The video also contained an explanation of the emblem, which was reportedly visible in its description.
Inspired by Australia's unique wildlife and playful spirit, the cockatoo is a symbol of Australia's distinct fauna and joyful nature. The emblem's crest resembles a torch, paying homage to the iconic Olympic and Paralympic flame. Shaped like Queensland with its eye on Brisbane, the emblem serves as a unifying symbol for Brisbane, Australia, and the world in 2032.
The leaked image of the emblem was removed from YouTube, where it had been accessible until 7:12pm. The emblem unveiling tour is scheduled to continue in Brisbane this weekend after recently visiting Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, and the Sunshine Coast. A community unveiling of the emblem is planned for Monday night in Brisbane.
