Brazil bask in festive welcome in Kolkata ahead of India friendly

Kolkata saw a festive welcome from fans as Brazil arrived ahead of their friendly match against India on Saturday. Manager Carlo Ancelotti aims to present an entertaining game that matches the joyous spirit of the occasion, highlighting the strong fanbases of both Brazil and Argentina in the soccer-loving city. The Salt Lake Stadium has seen crowds exceeding 60,000 during previous friendlies, and Brazil played a U-17 World Cup match here six years ago.

Ancelotti expressed his appreciation for the support, stating, "We know how this region loves the national team... we are happy to be here to play against India." The upcoming match, featuring a significantly lower-ranked India, will serve as both a preparation game and a means to thank the Indian fans for their unwavering support.
