Altersvorsorgedepot: Trotz staatlicher Zulagen – Viele wollen laut Umfrage kein Depot eröffnen
Der Staat will die Altersvorsorge grundsätzlich neu aufstellen und lockt mit Zulagen für ein Depot. Doch viele wissen noch gar nichts davon. Auch fehlende Erfahrung mit Wertpapieren bremst.
The state-backed Altersvorsorgedepot in Germany is set to launch in a few weeks, yet awareness about this offering remains limited among the population. According to a YouGov survey conducted for Commerzbank and its online brand Comdirect, nearly one-third of the 1,517 respondents admitted they had either never heard of the scheme or knew little about it.
Of the 935 participants who had heard of the Altersvorsorgedepot by the time of the survey, conducted between July 30 and August 3, 2026, more than half (56 percent) felt they were either unaware or poorly informed about it.
The scheme aims to allow savers to privately plan for retirement by investing in ETFs, equity funds, and bonds. The state provides a tax-free contribution of up to 540 euros per year, with an additional 300 euros per child. Despite these incentives, 38 percent of respondents in the YouGov survey expressed feeling inexperienced in the investment field.
