Vote for the 2026 top high school football sophomore in Bucks County

Anson County High School has announced the cancellation of the remainder of its boys' soccer season. The school's spokesperson emphasized that this decision was not taken lightly, stating that "The safety and well-being of our players has to come first." The boys' soccer team currently holds a record of 0-9. The last two games were canceled due to a shortage of players who could safely participate.

The decision does not spell the end for the boys' soccer program, however. The school said, "We will use this experience to look ahead, build our numbers, and come back stronger in the future." The district clarified that the current coach handles both men's and women's soccer teams. The women's soccer season is scheduled to begin in the spring.
