The IKEA x Xbox gaming furniture collab is actually genius — take a look at the full range
The YXSTABY collection is playful but practical — and it's finally available to buy.
Swedish home furnishings giant IKEA has teamed up with Xbox to launch a unique gaming furniture collection called YXSTABY. This quirky range of products balances fun and practicality, catering to the needs of avid gamers. Most items feature wheels, allowing for easy movement when required, and many offer hidden pockets and compartments for neatly storing gaming equipment.
If you prefer to showcase your gaming gear, the wall-mountable mirrored display boxes provide an excellent solution by displaying your controllers from various angles. Among the standout pieces is a storage unit that functions as a side table, also equipped with castors for effortless maneuverability. The casing can be slid to reveal or conceal your gaming gear.
The design team took inspiration from the Xbox controller, incorporating elements like the D-pad into a lap cushion and a decorative platter. The thumbsticks were even transformed into a stool. TechRadar journalist James Pickard, who had the opportunity to test the collection at Gamescom, found it to be exceptionally comfortable, despite its unusual appearance.
The YXSTABY range is now available for purchase, and you can explore the full collection by following the links below.
