Sonali Kulkarni on why Salman Khan's mother role didn't scare her: ‘I've played a girl who could become a flowering tree’
Most actors want to get cast. When Sonali Kulkarni was offered Bharat , she tried to cast someone else. The actor, who is nine years younger than Salman Khan, played his mother in Ali Abbas Zafar's 2019 drama. She has now revealed that her first instinct was to point the filmmakers elsewhere. In the end she stayed for an unexpected reason: she simply wanted the chance to work with the star. Why…
After 22 years of 161 episodes and a wealth of Bollywood gossip, Koffee With Karan 9 will be the final season of the talk show. Karan Johar, the host, announced the end of the series in an emotional video message, describing it as closer to a farewell letter than a press release. The show, which began from a skeptical father's disapproval in 2004, has been an extraordinary part of Johar's life, giving him friendships, memories, and moments of madness.
The Koffee With Karan couch has hosted confessions, heated debates, and even a national discussion on nepotism. Confessions from celebrities, such as Vicky Kaushal admitting his feelings for Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone speaking openly about living with depression, have become part of pop culture. The rapid-fire round and the hamper have also become iconic elements of the show.
Reasons for ending the show may have been that the pot had run dry. Johar seems ready for the trolls and comments that will undoubtedly follow the announcement. Despite the emotional decision, Johar promises to make the final season count with a strong guest list, rumored to include names like Vijay Deverakonda, Rashmika Mandanna, Kajol, Kareena Kapoor, Jaya Bachchan, and Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Farhan Akhtar. Koffee With Karan 9 will air on JioHotstar starting October 14.
