Mumbai's minister for Maharashtra, Nitesh Rane, has criticized the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) over a social media post in preparation for their planned protest on October 2. The controversy arose after CJP's tweet displayed images showing a cockroach under the feet of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Mahatma Gandhi, with "Shivaji Park" written beneath Gandhi's feet.
Rane accused the party of misrepresenting the names and actions of these historical figures, arguing that their intentions are inappropriate. Despite Mumbai Police denying permission for the protest at Shivaji Park due to restrictions, traffic concerns, and objections from residents, the CJP remains committed to their planned demonstration on October 2.
